Glenburn Post Fire Concert and BBQ

On the fateful Black Saturday evening of February 7th the Black Hill Ramblers were scheduled to play at the Glenburn Hotel. As we know the fires devastated the district and the Glenburn Hotel was burnt down.

It takes more than a fire to dampen the spirit of the Glenburn people and the Black Hill Ramblers returned on Friday 27th February to stage one of the biggest events seen in Glenburn. It was a celebration of the Community and the Sugarloaf Alliance people that fought side by side to save as much of our country side that was humanly possible with what resources we had at the time. Over 400 people attended end enjoyed a great BBQ, fantastic music and fellowship that grew from the trauma of the preceding weeks.

Thanks to Jan Joyce (CFA) and the John Hogan (Alliance) for organising the event.

The following photos are an attempt to convey what was just an outstanding night.
